Structural reinforcement and concrete foundation improvements for five critical transmission towers
The Iganga-Tororo Transmission Line Tower Protection project involved critical structural maintenance and reinforcement of five transmission towers along Uganda's vital power corridor. This essential infrastructure work was necessary to ensure the continued reliability and safety of electricity transmission between Eastern and Northern Uganda.
Our team at Advanta Construction performed specialized structural work under live line conditions, replacing corroded tower legs and significantly improving concrete foundations to withstand environmental stresses and extend the service life of these critical assets.
The project required precise coordination with UETCL's grid operations team to minimize power disruption while ensuring worker safety and structural integrity throughout the maintenance process.
Replacement of corroded and structurally compromised tower legs on five transmission towers
Strengthening of cross-arm structures to support increased load capacity
Application of advanced anti-corrosion coatings to new structural components
